The Orbis Cascade Alliance is a consortium of 36 post-secondary institutions in Oregon and Washington, both public and private.  The most well-known feature of our cooperation is the Summit catalog, which integrates the catalogs of all 36 institutions and facilitates interlibrary loan for books and other materials (though not journal articles).  The Alliance provides us greatly expanded access to journals for a reduced price through our shared subscriptions and saves us money on database subscriptions as well.
