When you request a  book through OneSearch, the Western Libraries catalog, we send it to the mailing address you have registered with Western. This is the same address where you have been receiving any other mail from Western. When you want to return the item you can mail it back to us, drop it off at any library in the Summit system, or ask the office manager at your program site if they have other ways to get it back to the Bellingham campus.

How to place a request in OneSearch

On the Western Libraries homepage or the Libraries tab in MyWestern search for the item you want to find.

  • After finding the item you want go to "Request Options"
  • Click on the link to sign into your account
  • After signing in, click the link to place the request
  • Choose "Mail to Distance Ed. User" and click request
