Yes, we are able to accommodate faculty who have student research assistants working on their behalf making ILLiad requests.  This can be done so that faculty do not have to share their universal login information. We strongly advise against encouraging a student to use his or her own ILLiad account to support faculty research.  Rather, we will modify a faculty or researcher's own ILLiad account to securely accomodate a student research assistant.

To accomplish this please contact Interlibrary Loan department at illiad@wwu.edu or 360-650-3076. One of the Interlibrary Loan staff will arrange for a faculty ILLiad account to validate against itself for the duration of the project or the student's employment. You can then provide a password to be used that is NOT the same as your universal login password.  Once the project is complete, or the student is no longer employed, we can easily switch ILLiad account verification back to your WWU universal credentials no matter what your current password might be.
