Q. What does copyright clearance cost?

In order to put material on reserve for a course, publishers may charge the library anwhere from nothing to as much as $5.00 per page/per copy. If royalty fees are excessive, the library will notify the faculty member who will have the opportunity to decide if the royalty costs outweigh the benefits of using the material.
