There are a few resources you might consider looking at. It looks like our collections here at Western may not be particularly strong on this topic. There is one book that is addresses the topic well though, Child Mental Health in International Perspective, but it is also somewhat old. Other books on the broader subject of child mental health can be found in the catalog here.
A somewhat broader cross-section of titles can be found through our Summit catalog (it is the combined catalog of most academic libraries in Washington and Oregon) under the subject heading of child mental health cross-cultural studies. Unfortunately, the most promising title in that list, International Perspectives on Children and Mental Health, is an ebook that is not available at Western at this time. Other titles found at that Summit link can be requested and they will be sent to Western for you to pick up (or mailed to you if you are a distance student).
There are also some resources available from the World Health Organization on this topic that might be of interest to you as well.
