Q. What is Summit and Summit loan periods?

Summit is a consortium of academic libraries throughout Washington, Oregon and Idaho (To see a map of the participating libraries visit https://www.orbiscascade.org/member/) with a shared catalog and efficient loan system in place. Summit items may be checked out for 12 weeks with option to renew for 6 weeks. After requesting a Summit item it generally takes 3-5 business days for your item to arrive. You will receive an email letting you know when it is at the library Circulation Services.

If you are in one of WWU's off-campus programs Summit items will be sent to the Bellingham campus then mailed to you. You are responsible for mailing the item back to Bellingham or you can drop it off at a partner library.
