If you see a due date under status when searching for books in the catalog it means that someone else currently has the book checked out and that is when they book is due.  You may place a request for the item (use the request button towards the top the of the screen), in which case the item will be held for you at the circulation desk when it is returned.  You will recieve an email letting you know when that has happened.

You may also be able to recall a book from another user if they have had it for a certain amount of time already or if it is needed for a class.  Call or email the circulation desk for details: 360-650-3084, library.circulation@wwu.edu.
