Information about the Whatcom One Card can be found here: Borrowing | Western Libraries | Western Washington University (wwu.edu) and to summarize, it states:

“You may check out up to 10 items at any one time, including 3 videos and 2 journals. Courtesy due date notices will be sent if you provide your email address.  Each item has the option of one renewal and you may renew using the link in the due date reminder.”

Information for the Community Cards is at the bottom of that same page, and to summarize it states:

The Courtesy/Community card provides enhanced services over the Whatcom One Card. Courtesy/Community card holders can check out more items, renew more times and place holds and recalls for materials through the library catalog.

While the Community Card normally costs $25 per year,  it is  also offered as a Courtesy Card at no charge to current students, faculty, and staff of  WCC, BTC, NWIC, and SVC as part of the reciprocal borrowing agreements between WWU and these institutions. WWU Alumni Association members also receive the same benefits as a Courtesy/Community Card holders for free as one of the benefits of being an Alumni Association member.

  1. The link at the top of this post is not working for me at the Info Desk 5/14/18: http://library.wwu.edu/community_borrow

It says the page is not secure and won't let me reach it.
