Tax Forms
Western Libraries is open to the public. We do not have print copies of tax forms, but Bellingham Public Library does. You can find current forms on the IRS's US Tax Center and print them at Bellingham Public Library or Whatcom County Library System locations. Computer access, but not printing, is available to community patrons at Western Libraries.
Tax Advice
We do not give tax advice.
However, starting January 27, the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program will offer tax assistance for those who qualify. Please check the VITA site for more information and updates. VITA is sponsored by Western’s Beta Alpha Psi and Accounting Society and provide free assistance with preparation of "non-business, personal income taxes during this period, including free e-filing of tax returns." Check their website for more information and to sign up for their services.
Tax-Aide, a service of the AARP Foundation, will be offering free tax preparation services starting Wednesday, Feb. 1 and lasting until April 12 at First Congregation Church (2401 Cornwall Ave) from 3:00-6:30 Mondays-Wednesdays and 12:00-4:00pm on Saturdays. They will also and the Bellingham Senior Activity Center by appointment (call 360-733-4030 ext 1033 for an appointment).
