Library books, and other items, are sometimes recalled for a variety of reasons. Most often it is because the item is being placed on course reserve and needs to be made available for a class. This is particularly common for any book that might be used as part of a course reading.

If you have an item that has been recalled you should consider seeing if you can get a copy of it through Summit (note: the library is not able to place on course reserve any items that are not owned by Western or an instructor-- so we are unable to place Summit items on reserve).
