Short answer: Faculty can place course reserves requests for most things here: https://library.wwu.edu/course-reserves-request-form See also Course Reserves for Instructors.
Long answer: Using the form on that link will get all requests directed to the right people. All reserve items are reviewed for copyright compliance and accessibility concerns, and made available by the library to enrolled students via the course's Canvas page while the course is active. Library Resources are provided as part of WWU Western Libraries course reserves service pursuant to Section 107 of U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 107) for use by currently enrolled students for private study, scholarship, or research, and not intended for any other use.
Faculty can request whatever is needed for the class and we will let them know if there is some reason why we can't put the resources on reserves. Scanning is done by library staff, and the library may purchase material to scan from if needed.
To perform your own fair use evaluation for posting material outside of the library's course reserves service, see the Copyright Services page.
