Q. How can browse or search by format in MABEL?

To pinpoint materials by format in MABEL: run a search, and use the facets on the left-hand side of the results screen to narrow down results by "Type" and/or "Genre/Form". 

"Type" makes high-level distinctions between digital objects such as "still image", "moving image" or "text". The Genre/form facet supports filtering down on more specific genre/form characteristics, such as "photographs albums", "newspapers" or "yearbooks".
