Drop in at the Hacherl Research & Writing Studio any time we are open to find a table and work at your own pace—no appointments necessary! We are located on the second floor of Haggard Hall. When you have a question or get stuck on something, there are three ways to call a Studio Assistant to where you are working:
- Flip one of the tabletop signs to the page that says “I have a question.” A Studio Assistant will be over as soon as possible.
- Text the word “STUDIO” to 360-797-5910. Someone will ask where you are currently working and page a studio assistant to come find you.
- Talk to anyone in the Studio wearing a nametag.
Our regular hours are 9am-9pm Monday through Thursday, 9am-5pm Friday, and 12pm-9pm Sunday. You can check special hours at wwu.edu/rws.
If you need a quiet space to work while in the Studio, try one of our quiet study pods or roomlets. People love these, so reserve one ahead of time to guarantee yourself a space.
You can also use our space to relax, play games, meet with a group, and work on anything, academic or not -- it's totally open to you any time the building is open.
